Get away to an excellent and affordable guided fishing adventure
in wild, wonderful West Virginia, where you can enjoy the rural upper Potomac
at its finest. We are only two hours from downtown Washington, D.C.
Many meandering miles of natural river will carry you through some of the
most beautiful riverscape available anywhere, mostly uninhabited except for
the multitudinous wildlife. You'll travel down river at once narrow and wide,
swift and slow, shallow and deep, accompanied by bald eagles, osprey, hawks
and owls, the occasional falcon, various fishing birds, and an incredible
variety of colorful songbirds and woodpeckers.
When the waters are clear, the river bottom and banks offer a world of their
own. Natural fish cover and prey abound almost everywhere. This is where we
fish, and the fishing really is excellent.
The upper Potomac main stem, and the lower north and south branches, converge
at a railroad trestle very near to South Branch, West Virginia, which is our
base camp and the home of renowned artist Peter Kephart and his wife, Sinead
Walshe.
Lodging options include camping on our private property, or camping along
the river, motels in nearby Romney, West Virginia, or staying in the spectacular
"Viewhouse", a beautifully, recently renovated farmhouse sitting
atop a mountain, overlooking the south branch Potomac a thousand feet below
-- the very river you could be fishing.
Enjoy spin fishing or fly fishing, from the bank, wading in the water, or floating
in a canoe or kayak down the beautiful Potomac river. We offer as many trip options
as possible to make your experience peaceful
and enjoyable, and your fishing time successful. Great flexibility in scheduling
and close attention to every detail mean that we are ready any time you are.
How about now?
